About

The common thread is people inside complex systems.

My career has moved through military healthcare, health-tech operations, and health informatics. Every role posed the same question: how does a complex system look to the one person standing inside it — and what would actually help them?

Right now that means pursuing an M.S. in Health Informatics through the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences, alongside a graduate certificate in Medical Product Innovation through the Swanson School of Engineering. Both are at the University of Pittsburgh and expected in Spring 2027. I’m also the founder of Mycelium Health, a health technology venture developing Mycelia, a personal health data platform in development.

The path here

  1. Frontline healthcare

Nine years in the United States Air Force as an aerospace medical technician, beginning in 2014, across flight medicine, urgent care, and outpatient care — alongside roles in civilian healthcare and at the Veterans Affairs Hospital. From prehospital response to inpatient monitoring, I learned how information, workflows, and human behavior shape the care people actually receive — and how much clear communication matters when pressure is high.

  2. Healthcare technology

At ThoroughCare since 2022 — sales development, business development, and client experience — supporting healthcare organizations as they shape care-management workflows and operational strategy around value-based reimbursement. That work has shown me why healthcare technology succeeds or fails inside real organizations: the product has to fit the people, incentives, and processes already in motion.

  3. Health informatics

Graduate study at the University of Pittsburgh, expected Spring 2027: an M.S. in Health Informatics on the Data Science track through the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences, plus a graduate certificate in Medical Product Innovation through the Swanson School of Engineering. The combined informatics and engineering curriculum covers data modeling, machine learning in the health sciences, interoperability, and clinical ethnographic techniques — tools for moving medical products from idea to adoption.

  4. Building

Using AI-assisted development to build a range of solutions, including Mycelia, the personal health data platform in development under Mycelium Health, alongside experiments in healthcare AI readiness, health data, and product design.

Off the clock

Based in Pittsburgh. Air Force veteran. I play guitar, skateboard, snowboard, and work out. I also keep a running list of ideas that could overfill every gap in my calendar. Two cats, Bjorn and Cadogen, supervise the work and contribute nothing to quality assurance.
